Mare Imbrium Print

Description

One of the largest impact basins on the near side of the Moon, Mare Imbrium is shown here with the surrounding mountain ranges throwing crisp shadows. Like every lunar image in Claire’s collection, this print began with hours of high-frame-rate video through a long-focal-length telescope, the sharpest frames stacked, then carefully sharpened and tonally mapped.
